Let me tell you what went down this Easter weekend in Easter Chaos: Love, Lies, and Getaways.
Easter in Ghana is notorious for Easter chaos, and this year, it lived up to its reputation with love, lies, and getaways. From the beaches of Ada to the resorts of Akosombo, Easter weekend turns into a breeding ground for drama. And let me tell you, this year was no exception—things got messy.
Kwabena and Araba: A Love Story on the Surface
So, here’s the story. My boy Kwabena and I go way back. We met in uni, and he’s one of the most focused, creative people I know. Now an architect, he’s working on big projects while the rest of us are still well not where we invisioned to be. Kwabena is chill—he doesn’t talk much, but he loves hard.
He’s been dating Araba for about 4 years now. From the outside, everything looked perfect—no noise, no breakups, no drama. Araba is stunning. A Marketing pro. Glamorous. One of those “soft life only” girls. And sometimes—just sometimes—she gets a little too curious when the vibes are right.
The Easter Getaway: What Went Wrong?
Easter rolls around. Kwabena tells me he’s staying in Accra to finish a huge project while the rest of the world is out partying. Then Thursday night, Araba calls him up:
“Babe, Esi and I are going to Ada. Her company is hosting an event at Aqua Safari, and she got free passes.”
Now, Esi is Araba’s best friend. She’s the definition of “outside”—always out, always hosting, always dancing in someone’s Insta story. She’s got a habit of mixing with troublemakers, so Kwabena wasn’t exactly thrilled about Araba going with her.
He let it slide. “Enjoy yourself,” he told her.
The next morning, Araba sent him a cute selfie from the resort:
“Girls just wanna have fun 💃🏽🌊”
Kwabena responded with a heart emoji and went back to work.

The Suspicious Signs: Kwabena’s Doubts Grow
By Sunday, things in Accra felt off. Kwesi, one of our guys from uni and now an event plug, hit me up:
“Bro, are you seeing the Easter madness online? I think Araba’s trip isn’t what it seems”. (Kwabena had told us about the trip so we both knew)
“What do you mean?” I asked.
“Esi is posting mad content from Aqua Safari, and there’s a gym guy all over her snaps. Looks like her man for the weekend. But Araba? Nowhere to be found.”
I told Kwabena about it. At first, he brushed it off, but you could tell he was trying to stay calm. Maybe Araba just didn’t want to be on camera, he thought. Fair enough. But wasn’t the trip supposed to be all about the girls?
The Voice Note That Changed Everything
Then, around 11:30 a.m on sunday, Kwabena got a message from Ama; another uni friend. She’s not in our circle anymore, but she’s solid. She was also in Ada for some event stuff.
“Hey… random, but are you and Araba good?” Ama asked.
Kwabena replied, “Yeah, why?”
Ama sent a voice note, and you could feel the hesitation in her voice:
“I wasn’t gonna say anything, but last night I was heading to my room around 2:45 a.m., and I saw Araba walking with some Flexx guy. Just the two of them. I didn’t even realize it was her at first until they walked past a light. They weren’t holding hands, but it looked very… cozy.” “They stopped outside Room 104, talked for a bit, then she checked around like she was making sure no one was watching. Then they both went inside.” “I didn’t want to jump to conclusions, but it didn’t sit right.”
Kwabena didn’t reply. He just sat in silence, processing everything.
The Puzzle Comes Together
The thing is—we don’t even know this Flexx guy personally. We’ve only seen him in pictures and stories. He’s one of those Ada regulars, always with a fresh haircut, protein shake, and one too many abs.
But when you put everything together—Esi’s content, Araba’s silence, and Ama’s voice note—it didn’t need confirmation. The puzzle was already solved.
Monday Approaches: The Tension Builds
Now, Monday is coming. Araba will return to Accra.
Will she act normal?
Will she confess?
Will Kwabena ask, or will he just move different?
All I know is, Easter in Ada never ends with just cocktails and boat rides. Somebody always comes back with secrets. And this year?
It’s looking like Kwabena got played.
